LOWER MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Manhattan streets will be shut down on Thursday to remember the lives lost in the terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2001.

A ceremony is being held at the 9/11 Museum and Memorial, where the names of all 2,977 victims will be read aloud.

These streets will close at the discretion of the NYPD before, during or after the ceremony: • Areas bounded by Barclay Street (north side), Rector Street (south side), Broadway (east side) and West Street (west side) • Liberty Street between West Street and South End Avenue • Albany Street between West Street and South End Avenue • West Thames Street between West Street and South End Avenue • South End Avenue between Liberty Street and West Thames Street • Battery Place between West Thames Street and 3rd Place •
