Cincinnati Children's Hospital is making a change to their employee insurance plans.
They announced spouses who have access to other coverage will no longer be eligible for their medical plans, and will be required to enroll in their own employer's coverage. Advertisement
They say it's due in part to rising costs to provide medical coverage.
The change, known as the Working Spouse Coverage Rule, takes effect Jan. 1 for new hires and newly eligible employees and July 1 for current employees.
The change applies for the medical plans, but not for dental, vision or other benefits.
