The first set of national mega-projects the federal government is looking to accelerate will be revealed Thursday, according to Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Carney made the remarks while addressing the national Liberal caucus in downtown Edmonton on Wednesday morning.

He didn’t specify how many projects to expect but did provides hints at what’s to come.

“Tomorrow, we’ll announce the first tranche, the first batch, of these projects; projects that will increase Canada’s independence, boost our economy, align with the interests of Indigenous peoples, and advance our climate goals,” he said.
