Today’s obituary: Wendell Rotter, 89, performed on the NYS Fairgrounds’ Wurlitzer organ

Wendell Rotter contributed to the soundtrack of Central New York.

He entertained guests at the New York State Fairgrounds during Christmas time and during the state fair from the Empire Theatre’s Wurlitzer organ and at Rome’s Capitol Theatre where his music accompanied black-and-white silent classics from Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy.
