COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Prisma Health has launched two new clinics in South Carolina to provide comprehensive care for those suffering from sickle cell disease.

The Sickle Cell Lifespan Center will have locations in both Columbia and Greenville and was funded in part by a $2 million investment from the state.

The expansion of the adult clinic in the Midlands will offer more advanced access to disease-modifying medications, blood transfusions, new therapies and clinical trials.
