CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Discovery Playhouse will be participating in Nickelodeon Channel’s Worldwide Day of Play on September 27.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Created by the Nickelodeon Channel, Worldwide Day of Play encourages visitors to turn off the television and experience learning through play.

Courtney Corbett, the executive director of Discovery Playhouse, said in a statement that the goals of Worldwide Day of Play directly align with the mission of Discovery Playhouse.

“We create fun, educational, and interactive experiences for children and caregivers as they play, discover, and learn,” Corbett said.

Discovery Playhouse invites families to enjoy a “Lego Challenge” activity, Planetarium Shows and “Slime” activities.
