CLEVELAND (WJW) -- The Memorial Shoreway is expected to be closed after Friday morning rush hour, to allow for "urgent repairs" to a damaged water main beneath the roadway.
A water main break last week near West 45th Street caused "significant flooding" and has been stymying traffic for days.
To accommodate repairs, state Route 2's eastbound lanes are scheduled to close from West 45th Street to West 28th Street, starting at about 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, according to a Wednesday news release from the city.
The eastbound lanes will remain closed through the weekend and are set to reopen on Monday, Sept. 15, before the morning commute, according to the release.
