Boeing workers in St. Louis will continue to strike after failed negotiations with the manufacturer. The workers are part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 837 Union. Tom Boelling, President and Directing Business Representative of the union, called the negotiations with Boeing “a waste of time.”

The St. Louis workers, who are responsible for the production of military aircraft and weapons, have been on strike for over five weeks, as the two parties have failed to reach an agreement regarding the workers’ contracts. Meanwhile, Boeing is looking to hire permanent replacement workers for manufacturing jobs in St. Louis.
