Singapore's military has confirmed the purchase of four Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, which are set to replace an aging fleet of Fokker 50 turboprops that have been in service with the nation since 1993. Defense Minister Chan Chun Sing announced this acquisition during a meeting in Washington, where he met with United States Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
