The 767 New Jersey residents killed on September 11, 2001, and the New Jersey 9/11 responders and survivors who have died due to the attacks in New York City, as well as in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., will be remembered at a special ceremony at New Jersey’s official September 11th ‘Empty Sky’ Memorial.

The Empty Sky memorial is located at Liberty State Park, 1 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305.

Those wishing to attend on September 11 are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 p.m. to collect a candle, engage with community members, and “feel the spiritual warmth of the Empty Sky Memorial’s halo of light.”
