ST. LOUIS, Mo. – A 54-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he fatally shot another man during an argument outside a residence on Henner Avenue.

According to a probable cause statement filed Sunday, Marvin Byrd has been charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm by a dangerous felon, and resisting arrest.

The shooting occurred Saturday evening outside 5710 Henner Ave., where Byrd and the victim, whose name was redacted in court filings, had gone to watch college football with others. Investigators say the two men argued over finances and household contributions before Byrd allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the street.

Police said Byrd then placed the firearm on the ground and sat inside his vehicle
