DENVER (KDVR) -- Time to see peak fall foliage colors is limited, but Colorado conveniently has some of the best fall leaf viewing spots in the nation, according to a new list.

Colorful Colorado is getting even more vibrant as some leaves are changing for fall a bit earlier than usual this year.

Colors are expected to peak sometime between mid-September to late October, depending on the area. In Denver, colors are expected to peak around Oct. 16-27, while parts of the high country near Aspen and Telluride are expected to see peak colors around Sept. 16-23.

Most areas of the Colorado mountains are expected to see peak colors from Sept 21-Oct. 8, according to the Pinpoint Weather team.
