Although Toledo City Council voted down legislation that would have repealed a 25-year-old conditional zoning ordinance, not every item was nixed.

Council had a packed agenda Tuesday with some things getting the “go ahead” and others getting held.

Appointments OK’d

With all 12 members present, council unanimously approved five appointments to the revamped Toledo Community Improvement Corporation.

The approved appointments, put forward by the mayor’s office, will join four ex-officio voting members which include the mayor or mayor’s designee, the city’s director of economic and business development, the president of Toledo City Council, and the director of affirmative action and contract compliance, according to the city’s municipal code.
