LaVon "Vonnie" Coleman, age 83, of Bulls Gap, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

Vonnie was born to Alfred and Ruby Jones on June 12, 1942. She married Jim Coleman on June of 1969 in Pompano Beach, FL.She worked at East Tennessee OBGYN in Morristown for 20 years. Vonnie was saved at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was an active worker in the church and enjoyed teaching Bible School. Vonnie enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruby Jones; and sister, Janie Matthews.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jim Coleman; children, Rachelle Coleman, Les Coleman, and Jenny Coleman; grandchild, Hunter Coleman (Hannah); adopted family, Tim, Kim,
