NEW ORLEANS —

The New York Times has named two New Orleans restaurants in its list of the best restaurants in America.

Only two restaurants in Louisiana were featured, and both are in New Orleans.

The first restaurant is Emeril's, a staple in the Warehouse District.

The 35-year-old restaurant was founded by chef Emeril Lagasse, who rose to fame in the '90s for his refined take on Creole cuisine.

Emeril's was renovated in 2023 and is now run by his son, EJ.

The second restaurant featured in the list was Saint Claire.
