FLORIEN, La. — An argument outside a Florien convenience store Tuesday night led to a man's stabbing death and sent a woman to jail, according to a joint statement from Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell and Florien Police Chief Stuart Anthony.

Kamrie Raeanne Caballero, 32, of Fisher, was arrested and booked into the Sabine Parish Women's Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.

Anthony responded around 10 p.m. and found a man on the ground north of the store near the highway with an apparent stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigation indicates Caballero allegedly stabbed the victim once in the chest.

The case remains under investigation by the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office and the Florien Police Department.
