FRANKFORT, Ky. — In the last several years, major natural disasters like tornadoes and floods have impacted nearly every corner of the commonwealth. They’ve caused millions of dollars in damage and impacted the lives of far too many. A Kentucky legislator wants to improve this area, using his knowledge from heading long-term recovery initiatives in Mayfield.
On Wednesday, lawmakers on the state’s Disaster Prevention and Resiliency Task Force were briefed on a software platform called DARCI . It stands for disaster aware and ready communities.
