MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Construction season has been booming across the Magic City.

Many projects are nearing the final stages, in hopes of wrapping up before the snow flies.

Meanwhile, city leaders are urging motorists to pay attention to posted stop signs in the area.

The Puppy Dog Coulee project started in April near Buffalo Wings and Rings. It consists of eight different phases, and work is now going on near Target.

Minot City Engineer Lance Meyer said the goal is to replace culverts and piping to help with storm drainage.

“The culverts that were there are 40-plus years old. They’re old metal culverts, and they are just at the end of their design life,” said Meyer.

Meyer said they are also undersized for the storm events that could pass through there.
