NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - The City of Norfolk became the ninth city to participate in a new program created by the Nebraska Military Department.
On both Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 3 and 4, the City of Norfolk and the Nebraska Military Department renewed their partnership.
The northeast Nebraska city joins Wahoo, Beatrice, Grand Island, North Platte, Plattsmouth, Gering, Scottsbluff, and Columbus.
According to the City of Norfolk, there has always been a partnership between the city and the Nebraska Military Department. This new initiative, called the Community Partnership Program, is a way to bring Nebraskans together.
Norfolk Mayor Shane Clausen says the city looks forward to seeing how this partnership plays out in the years to come.
