BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - September tenth marks the climatological peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. While we are over halfway through the season as a whole, there is still plenty of time to keep an eye on the tropics.
The 2025 Season So Far
The season got off to a bit of a slow start, with the first named storm of the season, Andrea, forming 24 days into the season and spending its entire lifespan over the open Atlantic with no impacts to land.
The only two storms that have had a landfall so far this season are Barry, along the eastern coast of Mexico on June 29th, and Chantal, in North Carolina on July 6th.
