PITTSBURGH —

Another Parkway North crossover is set to take effect this weekend, and it will impact traffic heading out of Pittsburgh on the Veterans Bridge.

PennDOT says northbound traffic on I-579 will be crossed over into the HOV lanes. Work is scheduled to begin Friday, and the new configuration should be fully in place by Sunday at noon. Advertisement

Northbound traffic can exit at McKnight Road or continue traveling north to the end of the HOV lanes onto I-279 – but drivers will not be able to get off at the ramps for Route 28, Hazlett Street, Evergreen Road or Perrysville Avenue exits.

Northbound I-279 HOV lanes to Hazlett Street

From the northbound I-279 HOV lanes, merge onto mainline I-279

Take the Bellevue/West View (Exit 7) off-ramp

Turn left onto Union Avenue
