SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - We’re just a couple of weeks away from the opening of Phase Two of the Kansas Expressway, which will connect the road to Cox Road at Farm Road 190 in Springfield, where a new four-way stop will be installed.
According to Greene County’s Assistant Highway Administrator, Mark Webb, the work is slated to be completed by Sept. 30. Although it’s still a couple of weeks away, he wanted to alert drivers to the upcoming change in traffic.
“As Kansas makes its way over, it’ll terminate there at Cox Road, it’ll end there,” said Webb. “And at that intersection, that’ll be a four-way stop condition, all ways stop.”
The county now has electronic signs along Cox Road in both directions, alerting drivers about the changes.
