The shooting death of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday afternoon represents the latest, horrific sign of the increasingly dangerous political climate in our country.

It also provides another stark warning that we must have a sense of urgency in addressing and de-escalating the anger, hostility and, yes, hatred that is clearly fueling the widespread toxicity of our political climate.
