Airports nationwide are waiting to see what the future holds for Spirit Airlines.

The carrier filed for bankruptcy last month and has discontinued services in 11 U.S. cities since. That potentially impacts those in Latrobe. Advertisement

Spirit is currently the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport’s only commercial airline.

“We've never had an issue at all with any of our flights,” Phil Linton, who prefers to fly out of Arnold Palmer, said. “The convenience, the parking, just the whole experience is so much easier. We love flying out of the airport a couple of times a year.”

Since Spirit Airlines declared bankruptcy last month, that comfort has turned into concern.
