Naval Station Norfolk will hold its annual 9/11 commemoration at Flag Plaza, across from the headquarters building, at 9 a.m. The event will include remarks from Naval Station Norfolk leadership, the reading of the timeline of events, a wreath-laying, and the playing of "Taps."
“This ceremony is not only about remembering the events of that tragic day but about teaching our newest generation of Sailors the importance of resilience, service, and unity,” said CMDCM Ian Thompson, Naval Station Norfolk Command Master Chief.
