Little Rock man drowns at Two Rivers Park

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A spokesperson for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reported a man died after drowning at Two Rivers Park.

Officials said the PCSO Water Patrol Division was called to the park at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday about a possible drowning. When they arrived, deputies learned that the Little Rock Fire Department had recovered a man from the water and had begun life-saving measures.

The man was later identified as 71-year-old Steven Sherrill of Little Rock. Sherrill was taken to the hospital but died at approximately 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.

Investigators said witnesses told them that Sherill fell from his boat and was struggling in the water and calling for help.
