SALINE COUNTY, Ark. — A burst waterline has left families without water for days.

Southwest Water officials said the line, which connects to three water tanks, broke on Highway 70, causing millions of gallons of water to pour out.

“The pressure started to get low down to just a trickle,” said David Thurman, a Saline County resident.

Another customer, Steven Boyd, added: “It’s a normal, not uncommon thing out there where we live because of the poor service that we receive.”

The transmission line burst Monday morning, first causing low water pressure before turning into a complete loss of water when people tried to use their sinks, showers and toilets.
