The flags outside Turning Point USA’s Phoenix headquarters have been lowered to half staff.

Bouquets of flowers delivered by well-wishers are piling up by the main door to one of at least three buildings that make up Turning Point’s campus.

The organization’s presence has grown steadily in a quiet neighborhood at the base of South Mountain park.

Outside, Zachary Bertagna, a resident of Phoenix, talked about what Charlie Kirk meant to him.

“I've always been a conservative Republican, Trump supporter, but he really got me into paying attention to the election last year and what I wanted to vote for,” Bertagna said.

Tommy Richardson, who was wearing his MAGA hat outside Turning Point, said Kirk was “one of ours.”

“If you are a lover of liberty and free speech and conservative values, he was one of ours. He was a champion of everything we believe,” Richardson said.

Alex Lane, a resident of Phoenix, said he donated a ten thousand dollar check to Turning Point.

“He was a father, young family, so it's very sad on that part. But also, there's no reason why things won't continue as there are. There's lots of great people there, there are lots of people saying the same thing. And I have every confidence that Turning Point will continue, and the movement will continue,” Lane said.
