A 37-year-old woman was arrested after a vehicle crashed through a fence at Doral Academy in south Reno on Sept. 9, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
About 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash at the school, where they found a car had gone through the playing field fence.
The driver, identified as Dar Kanellis, was arrested on suspicion of DUI (first offense), destruction of property and child endangerment. Deputies said her 9-month-old child, secured in a car seat, was evaluated and released to a family member.
