National Television Awards viewers claimed that the public ‘can’t be trusted’ after Molly-Mae Hague ‘shock’ win at the event.
The former Love Island contestant, who rose to fame on the ITV reality show in 2019, was one of the big winners at the event held in London’s O2.
Molly-Mae was crowned the surprise winner of the Authored Documentary category, which included work from a number of famous faces.
Freddie Flintoff’s Disney+ series Flintoff, BBC ’s There's Only One Rob Burrow, Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden's Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me and Sky’s Boyzone: No Matter What were all nominated for the award.
Despite the strong competition, the public voted Molly-Mae: Behind It All as their winner, with the six-part programme launched on Prime Video in January.
