DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - As football season has kicked off, AAA – The Auto Club Group is reminding fans that safety should be part of every game-day plan.

From stadium parking lots to backyard gatherings, the organization is urging tailgaters to take precautions against fire hazards and impaired driving.

AAA recommends keeping grills away from vehicles, tents and flammable gear, and never leaving them unattended. A fire extinguisher should always be within reach, not just for emergencies but to cool coals or stop flare-ups.

Hart pointed to a 2022 fire at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami where an unattended grill ignited a blaze that destroyed 11 vehicles.
