JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. —
After a terrifying medical emergency at Parkview Middle School last month that left a 14-year-old without a pulse for several minutes, he returned back to school.
Students know Officer Buckner as their school resource officer. But in a single moment, he became proof of being in the right place at the right time.
“The fact that I just kind of deterred from what I normally do and just happened to stop and turn around and walk in this building. And 10 seconds later, he drops right in front of me, six feet from me. So I just feel like it was just the grace of God that turned me around and brought me here, you know, to be right there for him, right as he fell,” Buckner said.
