Oklahoma State entered last weekend’s visit at Oregon with a game plan believed to be designed for an upset victory.
The result was a historic 69-3 loss that left many scratching their heads .
Not in 118 years had the Cowboys absorbed such a large defeat. The walk out of Autzen Stadium instantly brought doubts about the 2025 season.
How did this happen?
Mike Gundy had an immediate answer at his press conference.
“We were too complicated in all three phases. Tried to do too much on defense, tried to do too much on offense and we ended up not being able to execute being good at anything. That’s my fault. I don’t fault them for what they were doing,” Gundy said.
