MISSOULA PRIMARY ELECTION
Incumbent Andrea Davis had a commanding lead over two challengers in the bid for Missoula mayor after initial results were released in this year's municipal primary election.
The results, tabulated as of 8 p.m., showed Davis had garnered 66.8% of the vote, with challengers Shawn Knopp and Brandi Atanasoff collecting 26.4% and 5%, respectively.
In similar fashion, the two incumbents were ahead in their bid to win the Ward 3 Missoula City Council seat.
In the five-person field for Ward 3, Jennifer Savage, who previously represented Ward 1 but vacated her seat to run in Ward 3 after moving to the district, had a lead over current Ward 3 councilor Daniel Carlino. Savage had secured 49% of the initial vote, while Carlino had received 38%. Challenger
