NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A man has filed a lawsuit against a North Charleston restaurant after he was shot there in March.

Hakeem Wittrell was shot on March 29 at El Patio Caribbean Cuisine and Lounge, which was formerly known as The Montague Room. The Montague Room, which stood in its place until June of last year, gained dozens of noise complaints and safety concerns from neighbors.

As of Wednesday, El Patio appears to be no longer in business, even though it says otherwise online. The most recent business license shows the company is The Montague Room LLC, with the business name as El Patio.
