SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- It has been a warmer week in KELOLAND and temperatures are going to try to climb even higher.

Meteorologist Jaelyn Borresen takes a look at who could hit the 90s and how often this happens.

After we had a taste of fall this past weekend in KELOLAND, we have flipped the switch back to summer. Going into the rest of the week, a ridge building in is going to give our temperatures a boost.

Western South Dakota will try to be the first to see highs near 90 degrees on Thursday. This will be around 10 degrees above normal for areas like Rapid City. Then on Friday, East River will follow, and with southerly winds in the mix, the heat will come with some humidity.
