NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Residents in one Nashville neighborhood are fed up with crime they claim is linked to a nonprofit that supports unhoused people.
The Salemtown Neighborhood Association is organizing a townhall to discuss Nashville Rescue Mission. WSMV4 spoke with the organization’s president Cindy Edwards.
“The neighbors are being very supportive of the mission being there. We want the mission to be supportive of the neighborhood,” Edwards said.
Last year, they held a similar event but claim the problems have continued.
Residents have reportedly noticed was loitering, drug activity and indecent exposure, which they suspect is coming from the shelter.
