SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. —

Students at Saint Aloysius Catholic School are participating in a fundraiser that emphasizes acts of kindness, teaching them the value of giving back both monetarily and emotionally.

"We made cookies and we colored pictures, and we went to deliver them to our neighbors," said Adeline Brooks, a kindergartner at St. Aloysius.

"I threw out a friend's trash at lunch," said Christopher Holcomb, a fourth-grader.

Acts of kindness can be so small, but they make the biggest impact.

"They had a big smile," Brooks said while talking about her neighbor's reaction to the acts of kindness.

The initiative encourages students to engage in various activities instead of traditional fundraising methods.
