TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon on Thursday, October 16, with a special edition of the annual State of the City address. The event will take place at the Trussville Civic Center Exhibition Hall (5381 Trussville Clay Road).

This year’s program will mark a historic moment of transition for the city. Outgoing Mayor Buddy Choat, who has led Trussville since 2016, will reflect on his eight years of leadership before formally passing the torch to Mayor-elect Ben Short.

During his tenure, Mayor Choat oversaw significant growth and revitalization, including the development of the Trussville Entertainment District and major downtown infrastructure improvements.
