Conservative political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk was fatally shot Wednesday while speaking on the Utah Valley University campus.

The shooter arrived near the campus at 11:52 a.m., said Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason during a Thursday morning news conference.

They tracked the movements of the shooter on campus, through stairwells, up to a roof and to the shooting location, he said.
