Authorities say the suspect wanted in a Fort Payne bank robbery was caught in Kentucky on Wednesday.

The robbery happened Tuesday morning at the PNC Bank located in downtown Fort Payne. Investigators say a man wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve button-down shirt, and black cap walked into the bank armed with a gun and handed a note to the teller. According to police, the man exited the bank after getting $3,000 in case.

Fort Payne Police say the suspect was driving the same vehicle seen in surveillance footage related to the robbery.

Fort Payne says more details are expected to be released in the investigation on Thursday.
