DENVER (KDVR) — Three students were shot at Evergreen High School on Wednesday and transported to a local hospital, where one later died.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the shooting occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday and that three students were shot at the high school and were taken to CommonSpirit St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood.
Among the three students injured was the shooter, who had a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to law enforcement. The law enforcement investigation is ongoing.
