TEXARKANA, Ark. (KSLA) - Arkansas state lawmakers travel across the state to get feedback from healthcare providers and citizens to see what the state can do to improve services.

Texarkana was the site today for a joint meeting of the Arkansas House, Senate committee on Public Health, Welfare, and Labor. The state lawmakers are traveling across Arkansas to get feedback from local health care providers and citizens to see what the state can do to help improve services.

Leaders say information gained from these meetings will help them in crafting the best policies for the state. Senator Missy Irvin from Mountain View is co-chair of this committee. Senator Irvin said it was important to visit Texarkana.
