DA expects 10% jump in juvie crime in ‘25; new bill diverts kids from courts

SPRINGFIELD — Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni finds himself in a juvenile crime balancing act.

On one hand, he supports diversion programs for young offenders who get caught up in minor cases and deserve another chance to get their lives back on track with the help of 12 weeks of counseling and training.
