MENDOTA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Parents in the rural community of Mendota now have access to unique resources for their children that could shift their futures entirely.
Local leaders, parents, and community members celebrated a new beginning in Mendota on Wednesday morning.
The Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission opened the newest "Amor Early Head Start" site serving several rural families.
EOC CEO Steven Lewis says providing these spaces can make all the difference for children.
" If we could be of any help, we have to start here, we have to start here. We have to give these young Americans an opportunity because if we don't, they are going to be left behind," said EOC CEO Steven Lewis.
