HICO, WV (WVNS) - We are putting a bow on our coverage of Week Two of the High School Football season by handing out our Rainelle Medical Center Player of the Week award!

This week's award goes to Midland Trail senior Running Back Jayden Roop!

Roop led the Patriots with 224 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns as the Patriots trounced Poca 55-0 in their first home game of the season.

Midland Trail is off to a 2-0 start and the Patriots are averaging more than 48 points per game.

This week, Roop and the Patriots host Braxton County in Hico.
