Shelter Dog Returned After 30 Minutes Finds True Forever Home

A six-year-old shelter dog named Scooby endured heartbreaking rejection when his first adoption lasted just half an hour. Scooby, who had been picked up as a stray earlier in the summer, was returned to the shelter only 30 minutes after leaving, leaving him “sad and confused,” according to foster mom Sophia Roth of Baltimore, Maryland (@sophiebri98 on TikTok) .

Despite his time on the streets, Scooby showed clear signs of once being a beloved pet. He knew commands, craved sleeping under blankets, and sought companionship. Roth, who had taken him in as her first long-term foster, worked patiently to rebuild his confidence with hikes, cuddles, and playful encouragement to discover toys he didn’t seem to know how to use.
