PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The New England division of the Drug Enforcement Administration said six people were arrested in connection to a drug operation investigation that originated in Rhode Island.

According to the DEA, the six suspects were arrested in Portland, Maine after agents began an investigation in Rhode Island.

During the operation, agents allegedly seized eight kilograms of cocaine and $100,000.

According to the DEA, the six suspects are living in the country illegally and allegedly have ties to MS-13.
