Tasmania's James Boag's brewery has revived a beer that has not been brewed since the 1980s.
Nearly 200 years since the Cornwall Brewery was established in William Street, Launceston, Boag's brewers have crafted their first in a series of limited-release beers .
The beers are being brewed in a new microbrewery named Cornwall Brewery, which is located in the Boag's complex.
Manager Michael Stylianou said the microbrewery's first revived beer - Cornwall Brewery 1951 Stout - was a rich, bold brew using one of James Boag's original recipes, first brewed in 1951 and last produced in the 1980s.
"I love it - I'm not a big stout drinker, I'm more of a traditional drinker," he said.
