FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — On Sept. 10 conservative activist and media personality Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. In the wake of his death, Arkansas professors reflected on the impact his group, Turning Point USA (TPUSA), had on students and campuses in the Natural State.
Kirk founded TPUSA in 2012 as an organization "committed to identifying, educating, training, and organizing students to promote freedom."
Turning Point quickly became influential on college campuses and within Republican politics.
